Greg’s oil paintings come from his appreciation of the land and wildlife. In his youth he spent weekends in Northern Wisconsin at his folks cabin. He continues to spend a lot of time in Minnesota and Wisconsin’s northern woods camping, fishing, and hiking. During that time he gathers ideas, photos and experiences which are reflected in his work. His goals will be realized when he can present landscape scenes and wildlife in his paintings in such a way that his viewer will be touched emotionally, to be reminded of a special place or time and can revisit it each time they see their painting.
Greg grew up in Northeast Minneapolis, has lived in Mahtomedi, MN near the lake since 1985. He started his career at age six sketching various things. Later he improved his skills by attending Atelier lack, School of Academic Drawing & Painting. Naegle Outdoor Signs employed Greg for 15 years where he and other artists painted pictorial billboards.
