Susan uses low-tech tools such as hammers, pliers, files, saws, torches and her hands, utilizing the traditional fabrication techniques of sawing, forging, forming, soldering and polishing to transform the materials into a finished piece of wearable sculpture.
Her jewelry is handcrafted one piece at a time or in limited series, resulting in unique designs in which no two are exactly alike
She is inspired by the beauty in nature where she feels one can find endless forms – the line, the circle, any combination of curves. She has been making jewelry since 1986 in her hometown of Chapel Hill, NC. Images are from www.susanpanciera.com
